Poem October 9, 2021 Basa Sandrine

It is everywhere as we say today it’s trendy
Wherever you turn you see it,
the times you hear it you can’t count
And that very repetition and frequency convince you of its truth
You then come to believe in the simplicity it provides
Then in no time you relaxed,
you lower your guard
And end up betraying your own vigilance
While you are enjoying in the moment sensation
You completely forget that JUST DO IT is a fantasy  you can’t afford
A high that robs you,
a deception that breaks you
An enemy of reason itself
So in the middle of your freefall you realise you not equipped
Nor ready for what’s on the other side
As reality breaks your heart,you just accept your one way ticket
